«Event with the International Organization for Migration of Greece:
Tools for Teachers working in Multicultural Environments»
DIAN Training Activities, organized two events on December 6 and 7, 2021, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration of Greece (IOM), for the project INCrEAsE – Intercultural Skills for Adult Educators working with Multicultural and Multicultural.
Representatives of DIAN met with the trainers from IOM, who work in hotspots – refugee camps in Greece. At these events, DIAN presented the program funded by the European Union under Erasmus + Key Action 02.
DIAN presented extensively to the attending parties of the project, focusing on the educational material for Instructors and Teachers of multicultural groups and presenting the e-book, which contains this material.
During the events, representatives of DIAN and DOM, discussed and exchanged ideas and good practices for adult education, in multicultural environments, the importance of lifelong learning and the need to adapt curricula to the needs of students and as a result of the events:
A. The excellent services offered by IOM to people coming to Greece from other countries, seeking a better life, were confirmed.
B. The common goals of DIAN and IOM for quality education in multicultural environments were confirmed
C. The common desire of the two parties to continue their cooperation was confirmed.
The successful events took place online and in person, at the IOM headquarters at 6 Dodekanisou Street, Alimos, 17456, Athens and online for teachers from various other parts of Greece.
