“SHEskilled – A holistic Upskilling initiative for immigrant women”

Brainymotion AG from Germany (Leader), as well as DIAN from Greece (partner) and SAMPEDRO Y TORRES, COOP.V. from Spain (partner), have been implementing the European Program “SHEskilled – A Holistic Upskilling Initiative for Immigrant Women” from 01/10/2022 to 01/10/2023.
The “SHEskilled” program aims to train Migrant Women (Target Group) in ICT technologies and applications, as well as Job seeking coaching. To achieve this goal, appropriate participants who belong to the Migrant Women group, were trained.
The SHEskilled program is officially over. We celebrate the successful implementation of the project with the Final Conference that took place at the offices of Sampedro y Torres. The Final Conference was meant to summarize all the actions taken by the consortium in order to implement the program and the results of the program over all.
The most touching scenes of the final conference were when the participants (migrant women) were given the chance to express their opinions, feelings and emotions in regards to the training they received.
What stayed with us the most was the fact that the participants were given hope that they can be something more, even in fields that they never expected to find themselves. This is extremely important to us because the point of such programs is to show marginalised people that there is hope for improvement in their lives.
All in all we have to say that the program was a great success and knowledge was acquired on many levels by the participating organisations, their staff and the participants. Furthermore, it provides proof of concept that training migrant women in new fields of expertise can have positive externalities beyond just the specific subject matter of the trainings.
Finally, on behalf of the program consortium and everyone involved, we would like to say thank you for following us and believing in the success of the program.
We can only hope for repetitions of such examples in the future!
